Program info:
Day 1: arrival in Tampere

Day 2: drive past Kauppi, the green heart of Tampere (minimum 20 kilometres)
It takes just 10 minutes by bike before you are at the shores of lake Näsijärvi, which seems to stretch endlessly to the north. In Kauppi's city forest you will cycle past a cosy cafeteria and stop for a nice walk in the surroundings or you can continue cycling forwards Kangasala. There you can climb to the observation tower where you can see hunting ospreys. On your way there are dozens of occasions to take a dive in the lake or to visit the public saunas.

Day 3: Tampere – Hämeenkyrö (45 kilometres)
You start the day with a short but firm climb on Pyynikki hill. In the protected nature area close to the city centre you can go up the observation tower which gives you a beautiful views on the surrounding landscape of lakes. You continue the journey through cosy residential areas and soon you will reach Nokia, the famous neighbouring town. You will continue in the direction of the Siuro rapids and this is the perfect place to enjoy a lunch in a cosy restaurant. Now you are in the middle of Finnish countryside and you pass the enchanting lakes while you are heading to a wellness farm near Hämeenkyrö. In the evening you will visit a public sauna or you can go for a stroll through the herb fields that surround the farm.

Day 4: Ride past the farms (40 kilometres)
You will cycle in the idyllic Finnish landscape where lakes, fields and wooden farms alternate constantly. In the summer season you can eat fresh strawberries from one of the many farms in the area. In the evening you will be treated with a relaxing massage in the wellness centre.

Day 5 Hämeenkyrö -Ikaalinen Spa (50 kilometres)
This day the route will take you through a scarcely inhabited area. Cars and civilisation seem to be far away. You will only hear the sound of the wind and the trees. You will arrive in Ikaalinen Spa, the biggest spa of the whole Northern Europe.

Day 6: Roundtrip Ikaalinen Spa - Jämijärvi (60 kilometres)
This is the most demanding journey of the week. The route takes you to Jämijärvi, a small country town village. You can make a short walk in the forests. On your way there are dozens of fireplaces with firewood. So if you like there is the option to build a fire according to Finnish traditions. This will give you a warm rest. In the evening you continue to relax in the famous spa.

Day 7: Ikaalinen – Parkano – Tampere (45 kilometres)
After a cycling journey through the lonely forest you reach the Poltikoski rapids, which connect lake Parkanojärvi and Kyrösjärvi. With lake Parkanojärvi on your left side the panoramic route continues until you reach Parkano where you can visit a local market. In Parkano you take your bike with you on the train and in one hour you will be back in Tampere. In the evening you can conclude your holiday with a visit to the oldest still working public sauna in Finland.

Day 8: Departure after the breakfast.
