The base of our travels is Tampere, which is the third largest city in Finland and the biggest inland
city in the Nordic countries. Tampere is surrounded by forests and lakes: there are also four national
parks in a radius of 60 km around the city.
Tampere is at the shore of lake Näsijärvi that stretches more than 100 km to the north.
The city is also an important center for the region and has had an important role in Finnish history.
We think that if you have not visited Tampere, you have not seen Finland.

Hello I am Bert and was born in Belgium. I have been exploring the Belgian
fields and forests since my childhood. After finishing my studies in forestry
and nature conservation, I started working in the forests. I also volunteered for
local nature conservation organizations and started organizing guided tours in
Belgium and other countries.
Being in the nature is a real passion for me and I find Finland truly an interesting
place to live in. I moved to a nice little village called Kuru on the shore of lake Näsijärvi
near the national parks Seitseminen and Helvetinjärvi. I mostly guide the tours and participate in developing the programs.
